Ohio Governor Ted Strickland toured Vora Technology Park (VTP) on Nov. 5, 2009. During the tour guided by Mahendra Vora, CEO and Founder of VTP, the Governor participated in a global video conference that was in session and spoke to businesses spanning from California to London, England.
Speaking at a reception in his honor, the Governor addressed a room of city and county officials, along with university and business executives, declaring that VTP was "the premier technology park in the Midwest." Governor Strickland further said, "I honor what you have done here." The Governor stated that although Mahendra was born in India that he "has Ohio DNA" because Ohioans historically are risk takers, entrepreneurs, explorers and innovators. Governor Strickland was in Southwest Ohio as part of his economic initiatives. VTP was honored to be a selected site to host the Governor of Ohio.
